Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time for the PC, has this far only been released through Activision's own client, Battle.net. But is a Steam release due anytime soon?
This far, Battle.net has been the only place to enjoy Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time for the PC players. But this might change soon, as many have spotted a new entry on SteamDB.info for an unknown application, that contained Crash Bandicoot 4 configuration files.
The unexpected change after nearly two years of the initial release of Crash 4 might be due to the Microsoft acquisition of Activison earlier last year, and their transition to Steam with their PC released, which has already begun with the Call of Duty series. They might be aiming to kill Battle.net once and for all, just like they did with Bethesda's own launcher when the company was acquired by Microsoft.
Either way, Crash 4 for the Steam is a welcome addition to many PC players' libraries. And if you still haven't played Crash 4 because you were not fond of the Battle.net launcher, this might just be your chance to finally enjoy the game on a more popular digital platform.
