The PocketStation is an official, licensed Sony product. A peripheral the size of a PlayStation Memory Card, this obscure technological thingamajing was released exclusively in Japan on January 23, 1999.
Categorized by Sony as a combination of a Memory Card and a miniature personal digital assistant, the device features a monochrome liquid crystal display (or simply LCD screen), infrared communication capability, a real-time clock, built-in flash memory, and sound capability.

By saving the game on this device, players get access to a series of mini games, where they have to take care of Crash and collect photos, which can be unlocked by beating various mini games or by trading with friends.

Gameplay
The aim of the game is to collect various Photos of Crash's mad antics. These photos can be collected in several ways: from the virtual pet, completing the minigames or trading with a friend. All the photos you have collected are stored in an album, for viewing and trading.
